  4. What is GRedSpot?
  5. ----------------
  6. GRedSpot is a MicroSoft Windows 3.x program that displays the current
  7. position of the Great Red Spot on the planet Jupiter, and the four Galilean
  8. moons Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto in an icon.  You can set the icon to
  9. display the moons above or below a half-icon of Jupiter, just show the moons
  10. or just display the full Jupiter icon.  You can specify the icon's title to
  11. display the current longitude of the Spot, a list of today's transit times,
  12. and the time remaining until the next transit.  If you wish, you can also
  13. configure the title to just be a clock, displaying the current time and/or
  14. date.

  17. Installing GRedSpot
  18. -------------------
  19. Simply use the Program Manager to create a New Program Icon in the group of
  20. your choice and set the "Working Directory" to the subdirectory where you
  21. installed the files.  You may place the GREDSPOT.EXE file in the subdirectory
  22. of your choice, but GRedSpot *must* be able to find it's GREDSPOT.INI file.
  23. If it is cannot, then the About box will be displayed each and every time you
  24. start the program.  If you have trouble, you may set the "Working Directory"
  25. to your Windows subdirectory explicitly, or just leave it blank to have it
  26. default to your Windows subdirectory.  Just make SURE that Windows can find
  27. your GREDSPOT.INI file.  See the section "Troubleshooting" in the on-line help
  28. system for more information.

  30. I also recommend placing the Program Icon in the "Startup" group so it loads
  31. every time you start Windows.

  33. If you don't already have the file BWCC.DLL, make sure you copy it to your
  34. Windows system subdirectory and erase any other older copies of it.  See the
  35. file BWCC.TXT for more information.
